AR Hospital Assumes Leadership of ED and Hospital Medicine Programs After Successful Partnership with In-House Medical

WARREN, AR, UNITED STATES, September 17, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — In-House Medical (IHM) today announced the successful completion of its almost 2-year Emergency Department (ED) and Hospital Medicine (HM) insourcing engagement with Bradley County Medical Center (BCMC), effective September 30, 2026. Under the terms of the partnership succession plan, BCMC will integrate the ED and HM management responsibilities into its existing administrative structure, supported by a comprehensive knowledge-transfer process led by IHM.

BCMC engaged IHM in early 2024 to replace an outsourced contract management group (CMG) arrangement that contributed to scheduling gaps, coverage instability, and exorbitant costs. Beginning in January 2025, IHM implemented its insourcing model, partnering closely with hospital leadership, to establish a sustainable program. Under the arrangement, providers were contracted directly with the hospital while IHM led the transition and provided medical director oversight, recruiting, scheduling, provider management, and day-to-day operational support.

What began as an initiative to restore stability ultimately resulted in a fully functioning Emergency Department and Hospital Medicine Hybrid program characterized by reliable provider coverage, timely scheduling, engaged clinicians, and transparent cost structures. Through close collaboration with hospital leadership, the partnership established the systems and processes necessary to support long-term sustainability. “What we’re returning to Bradley County is not a set of open problems; it’s a functioning program,” said Zoe, Perez, BCMC facility lead for In-House Medical. “The providers are staying. The schedule works. The processes we built to close operational gaps are in place. Our job now is to make sure that stability transfers cleanly to the hospital’s own team.”

As workforce shortages continue to challenge community and rural hospitals nationwide, insourcing models are increasingly being evaluated as an alternative to traditional outsourced staffing arrangements. IHM’s insourcing model is designed for hospitals of all types, with a particular focus on rural and critical access facilities where recruitment is challenging and margins are tight. Unlike traditional contract management group arrangements, this model maintains cost transparency, creates opportunities to strengthen quality and culture, keeps providers contracted directly with the hospital, and prioritizes long-term relationships over transactional staffing.

Patient care in Bradley County’s ED will continue without disruption, supported by an established team of three full-time physicians, one full-time advanced practice provider, a PRN roster, and access to additional providers as needed. “The providers here felt supported from day one,” said Dr. Michael Aziz, a full-time physician at BCMC. “Working with IHM was the best experience I’ve had during my job search.”
