Independent fishing website & app brings water conditions, fish regulations, consumption advisories and more together for Texas anglers in one place.
TX, UNITED STATES, October 20, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — For Texas anglers, planning a day on the water can mean jumping between weather forecasts, reservoir gauges, fishing regulations and scattered bookmarks. Texas Fish & Water brings those pieces together and adds tools that help anglers make the information their own.
Developed by East Texas angler Kory Bard, Texas Fish & Water is an independent, mobile-friendly website covering freshwater lakes and coastal bays. Built as a passion project, it combines source-referenced fishing information with conditions displays, fisheries research tools and optional free accounts.
The goal is straightforward: make detailed information easier to find and understand, with enough depth to remain useful as an angler’s experience grows or is already situated as a professional.
FROM RESERVOIRS TO COASTAL BAYS
Texas Fish & Water adapts its information to the water being explored. Freshwater conditions can include reservoir elevation, conservation storage and nearby weather observations. Coastal pages bring together station-based wind readings, observed water levels, astronomical tide predictions and marine forecasts, depending on source availability.
The distinction between a measurement and a prediction stays visible. Coastal water-level observations are presented separately from predicted tides, while station names, timestamps and source links help visitors understand what they are viewing.
Small, on-demand explanations introduce terms such as conservation pool and tidal reference levels without turning every conditions page into a lesson. Coastal bay coverage is currently identified as beta as development continues.
MORE THAN A CONDITIONS CHECK
Beyond weather and water levels, TFW gives anglers ways to explore the fisheries themselves.
Lake DNA brings together information about a lake’s characteristics and fishery. Stocking records offer another view into fisheries management, while Trophy Atlas lets visitors explore trophy-bass information and documented catches. Water-specific fish pages connect species information with applicable length and bag limits and consumption guidance.
These tools are designed to encourage exploration while keeping the underlying information and its sources accessible.
A visitor can compare two waters, examine the available conditions and access information, then move into the details of the water that interests them. The platform supports that process without requiring a public catch report or a shared fishing spot.
A PERSONAL SETUP WITHOUT THE SOCIAL FEED
Optional free accounts let anglers save waters, select a Home Water and keep private notes connected to individual locations. Collections can organize waters around interests such as upcoming tournaments, places to camp or a fishing wishlist, with custom labels, date ranges and ordering controls.
Account-linked information can be accessed across devices, helping users carry their setup from a desktop planning session to a phone.
For time on the water, Dock Mode brings available conditions together in a focused interface. Sunlight settings improve outdoor readability, and supported devices can optionally keep the screen awake while the view is in use. Downloadable snapshots provide a dated reference users can keep for later; they do not continue updating after download.
BUILT TO KEEP IMPROVING
Texas Fish & Water remains under active development, with an emphasis on accuracy, clear language and practical use on mobile devices. Feedback from anglers and guides helps identify missing information, confusing explanations and opportunities to improve the platform.
TFW is independently operated and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, NOAA or other agencies referenced as sources. Data availability and update schedules vary. Visitors should verify current official regulations and notices before fishing. The platform is not an emergency-warning or navigation service.
