Jax Beats, founded by “Migdy” Sanchez, offers cycling, dance fitness, and Florida’s only Kangoo Jump classes in Arlington, putting support over competition.
JACKSONVILLE, FL, UNITED STATES, October 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Jax Beats, a woman-owned, minority-owned indoor cycling and dance fitness studio, has opened in Jacksonville’s Arlington neighborhood, serving Southside Jacksonville and the surrounding community. The studio offers Beat Ride cycling, Zumba, Sculpt Beats, Hybrid 30/30, and Kangoo Jump, a rebound-boot workout that Jax Beats is currently the only studio in Florida to offer. Founder Migdalys “Migdy” Sanchez built the business around a philosophy that puts support ahead of competition, intending to give Jacksonville residents a place to build strength alongside their neighbors.
Migdy arrived in the United States with her two daughters, five suitcases, and $100 after leaving an unsafe situation behind. Rebuilding took years, and fitness became part of it, helping her regain her strength, her confidence, and eventually her career. She lives with legal blindness and has undergone multiple cornea transplants. At age 26, she turned down a disability pension because she refused to stop working. That resilience became the foundation for Jax Beats. Migdy earned her certifications and licenses along the way and has now started Jax Beats to give others the same lifeline fitness once gave her.
“I like to be transparent without victimizing myself. The story of Jax Beats is as important as the classes we offer,” said Migdy. “This studio exists for busy people who need one hour back for themselves. We’re not here to rank anyone or make fitness intimidating. We come here to lift each other up, and that’s what makes people stay.”
Every class at Jax Beats is built around a stated philosophy: every body belongs. Beginners and regulars work out side by side, and instructors adjust pace and intensity rather than holding everyone to a fixed standard. Dabra, a certified Kangoo Jump, indoor cycling, and Zumba instructor, leads several of the studio’s classes alongside Migdy, who holds a NASM Certified Personal Trainer credential.
The climate-controlled studio requires no special gear for the classes. For Kangoo Jump sessions, rebound boots are available. Free parking is available on-site.
New members enjoy a buy-two-get-one class package and a Founders membership. Classes run Monday through Saturday, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., and can be booked through MindBody or by contacting the studio directly through WhatsApp.
Reviewer Eileen M. Sanchez, describing her experience at the studio, wrote that it “feels like joining a family.” Jacksonville residents interested in trying a class can reach Jax Beats directly to reserve a spot.
