This October, two Boston events will bring people together to share research updates, build connections, and accelerate progress for people with ALS.
Boston, MA September 23, 2026 –(PR.com)– The ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI) will bring together leaders from the scientific, biotechnology, and ALS communities this October for the 2026 ALS TDI Summit and White Coat Affair gala. Together, the events will give scientists, biotechnology and pharmaceutical professionals, academic researchers, advocates, and people affected by ALS opportunities to learn about the latest research, form new connections, and help advance the development of effective treatments.
The ALS TDI Summit will take place on Friday, October 9, at the Sheraton Boston Hotel, with an option to attend virtually. This free, one-day event will feature presentations and conversations with scientists and community leaders about emerging discoveries, therapy development, and the path ahead for ALS research. This year’s Summit will highlight research focused on both sporadic and familial forms of ALS.
The agenda includes morning presentations from ALS TDI scientists, a panel discussion with researchers and community members, and afternoon talks from guest experts across the field. For those attending in person, the day will conclude with Cocktails and Conversations, a networking reception and poster session where attendees can meet researchers and learn more about their work.

The White Coat Affair, ALS TDI’s signature annual fundraising gala, will take place the following evening, Saturday, October 10, at the Sheraton Boston Hotel. The event will unite members of the ALS and life sciences communities in support of ALS TDI’s mission to discover and develop treatments for ALS. The evening will include cocktails, dinner, and a speaking program, followed by an After Party with music and dancing.
