Coastal Carolina and East Carolina Schedule Football Series Through 2034

Myrtle Beach Florence, SC, October 13, 2026 — Coastal Carolina University and East Carolina University have established a future football series, agreeing to six non-conference games that will span from 2027 through 2034. This multi-year agreement outlines a balanced schedule between the two institutions, emphasizing regional matchups.

Under the terms of the agreement, Coastal Carolina will host three games at its facility in Conway, South Carolina. Correspondingly, East Carolina will host three games in Greenville, North Carolina, fulfilling the reciprocal nature of the non-conference scheduling.

Scheduling future football games, particularly non-conference matchups, is a common practice for collegiate athletic programs. These agreements often aim to provide challenging competition, generate revenue, and offer opportunities for fans to see their teams play in different locations. The duration of this series, extending nearly a decade, suggests a strategic approach by both athletic departments to secure future opponents and schedule components.

Details regarding specific dates for each game within the 2027-2034 window were not provided. The exact timing and confirmation of game days typically follow once broader conference schedules and broadcast rights are finalized by the respective athletic associations.

This series marks a significant commitment between Coastal Carolina and East Carolina, reflecting ongoing efforts by universities to build robust non-conference slates that complement conference play. The arrangement highlights the strategic planning involved in college athletics, balancing competitive aspirations with logistical and financial considerations for athletic departments and their fan bases.
